Zakiya Leeming is a UK-based composer creating music for concerts, opera, digital media and emerging technologiesShaped by the human stories behind science, medicine, and new tools, Leeming's work and frequently develops through long-term collaboration with scientists, clinicians, directors, writers, patients and performers. 

 

Engaged in broadening connections across disciplines and publics, Leeming has devised and directed interdisciplinary projects bringing together health data researchers, immunologists, secondary-school students, astrophysicists, and patient groups across the U.K. and her work has been performed internationally.
